FCC'S ANNUAL SACRAMENTO AMERICAN RIVER RIDE
Autumn is here, so it's time for a ride on the American River Bike Path to watch the salmon run.
The group is staying at the Best Western Sandman Motel, 236 Jibboom St, Sacramento, CA 95814 (916-443-6515) — that's the starting point.
Arrival: Friday the 6th
Ride: Saturday the 7th, to Folsom via Nimbus, 35–50 miles (call if that's too far — other options available). Ride starts at 8:30, so day-trippers can just drive up. Lunch: at a café called Karen's — everything homemade, may vary with weather/sunlight. A Ghirardelli chocolate outlet is nearby for the ride home.
Non-riders: there's an IKEA, an outlet mall, a museum next to the hotel, and Old Town Sacramento within walking distance.
