This is the Fresno Cycling Club's first Brevet of the 2018 season. The Raymond 200km Brevet starts in Clovis and meanders through the local foothills on a lovely loop route that goes through the historic town of Raymond and returns through Madera. A brevet is a "randonneuring" event and riders will follow a cue sheet for the route and be required to check in at designated control points along the way. Riders have a generous 13.5 hour time limit to complete the course and get RUSA credit for the ride. Brevets are low cost minimally supported endurance events that encourage comaraderie and self sufficiency. Riders are encouraged to join Randonneurs USA (RUSA) at rusa.org prior to the event to have your results recorded in a national database and potentially qualify for future events and awards. RUSA membership also pays for liability coverage and therefore RUSA riders will be given a discount on registration. Day of event registration 30 min prior to ride start available.
