Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
When does registration close?
Registration will close on June 23, 2007. Registrations sent by mail must be postmarked by June 16th to allow for mailing. There is no late registration.
Can we buy extra meal tickets?
We will also have an after-ride lunch/dinner for all participants. Additional meal tickets are available for purchase for guests. (Pre-ordered only)
Where can I get something to eat?
DiCicco's Italian Restaurant, 408 Clovis Ave.
Bobby Salazar¹s Mexican Restaurant, 434 Clovis Ave
Luna's Pizzeria & Italian Restaurant, 349 Pollasky
What kind of energy drink will you have at rest stops?
Gatorade. Also, water and sodas (at some rest stops)
Why did the date of the ride change?
The end of June has less traffic, more daylight, and cooler temperatures. This early editions of the event were held at the end of June for many years, too.
Can I sign up for one ride and do another?
You can switch rides only from one ride to the lesser ride. Example: You sign up for the century but you're having a bad day-you can finish the metric instead. On the other hand, you can't sign up for the century and, because you're having a great day, choose to do the Climb to Kaiser. So, you're better off signing up for the harder ride and having the option of doing the easier ride(s) instead. (Just let one of our volunteers know.)
If I order a finisher's jersey and don't finish, what happens?
If you are a previous finisher, you will get the jersey on the day of registration. If you ordered a jersey and haven't ever completed the ride, we will hold onto your jersey until after you finish the ride on Saturday. If you are unable to complete the ride, we will refund your money.
What kind of support can I expect on the ride?
Our SAG drivers will be traveling around the course to assist riders. They carry spare tubes and tires, a floor pump, some various tools, and some water. Our rest stops will offer a variety of food items, along with Gatorade, water, and at some stops, sodas. Energy powder can be transported to Shaver Lake for you. (See registration information)
I understand that this is a timed event. How does that work?
The clock starts at 5:30 a.m. When you finish the ride, you will be able to sign in your time next to your name and number. We will compute your finishing time and post it on our website the following week. (All traffic laws are to be observed)
